A 6^th grader gets an up-close look at his world through one of our geoscopes – a hand-held microscope

 5th graders show off thier work in April 2008!

There are not just plants and flowers growing in our courtyards.  Our resident turtles Carla and Lucky have had babies.  So far only 2 have been found, but it is suspected that there may be 3.  The turtles were found by chance in thier pen on September 15.

The 4^th graders discover the fall harvest in our square-foot gardens:  corn, tomatoes, parsley, radishes, pumpkins,……

Mrs. Denny’s K/1 class discovers their 5 senses.  They started out by sitting quietly while blindfolded, using only their ears and their noses.  Then they removed the blindfolds and explored the courtyard using all of their senses!  They enjoyed writing and drawing about the things that they discovered.
